Little Moon Acres was established as a joint operation in Killingly Center, Connecticut between Braxton & Kristie Wallis. Braxton, a native of Michigan was enrolled as an active member of his local FFA Chapter and 4H club, with a concentration in studying plant science, seed germination, and cultivation. He is currently serving in the United States Navy and is a part of the submarine service. Kristie, a native of Connecticut was also enrolled and active in both her local FFA Chapter and 4H club, but with a concentration in animal sciences, food products, & behavior and training of domesticated animals. She is a licensed dairy technician serving under Dairy One with the American Dairy Goat Association. Additionally, she is currently working toward her certification in floral design with Penn Foster and plans on pursuing business at Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington. The two joined together as a couple to create Little Moon Acres, a small scale, urban hobby farm in Killingly Center. Little Moon Acres specializes in dairy goat production & operations. Additionally, they have a small fruit and vegetable garden and a small flock of chickens. Braxton and Kristie love what they do, and hope to spread awareness about urban hobby farming, offer workshops, and give back to their community, especially the military.
